C# for the WebPosted by Marsol0x 18 year(s) ago (5/15/2007).
I'm a programmer who has had to suffer through PHP for web development for far too long, and I think it is time for a switch. Due to my conversation with Duck, I think I'm going to give Visual C# .NET with ASP.net a shot at being a viable web-development language and environment. Learning C# wont be too hard, the real trick is learning .NET and ASP.net, as well as convincing my grandfather, the person with whom the next large project is with, that we should move in that direction. Hopefully it will cut down on stress a bit for me. Really, I pretty much have C# down already, due to my experience with Java and C++. It looks good, but not something that I think I'd like to become an expert in, especially if my goal is game development, that requires C++ if a person is serious about getting into that industry (regardless of what Microsoft says). Besides, C# might be too much like Java for me to really get into. Only time will tell, I think.
