Preface
At Zuild.net your privacy is important to us. We know nothing can be more frustrating
than spam, harassment, or compromised privacy in general, and take many steps toward
protecting both your inbox and your security. Please note that our security policy
may change from time to time, and that it is the user’s responsibility to check
our privacy policy for revisions or changes.
Information Collected
Zuild.net collects information specifically entered, uploaded, or posted by the
user, such as e-mail address, screen-names, biographies, comments, images, documents,
etc. In some cases IP addresses may be collected however this collection is separate
from user-entered information and is not stored in a user-identifiable fashion.
Additional IP address information may be collected by our web hosting provider,
aspwebhosting.com.
How Information is Used
Personal information entered, uploaded, or posted by the user and collected by Zuild.net
is not shared with or sold to any 3rd parties whatsoever, however information
or content (such as images) may be stored on machines of web hosting providers from
whom we purchase web storage from. Information may be shared with government agencies
if required under law. Certain pieces of information you enter directly may be viewable
publicly on Zuild.net and may be used during Zuild.net searches. E-mail addresses
are never shown to anonymous visitors, and furthermore only e-mail address which
you specifically mark as public will ever be shown on Zuild.net; this is to help
combat spam-bots. Information explicitly entered by the user and set or created
in a public context, may be used by our advertising partner, google.com, in a non-user-identifiable
fashion in order to dynamically select advertising content. See
http://adsense.google.com/ for more information. Your account e-mail address
may be used by Zuild.net to inform the user of new personal messages, new events,
and Zuild.net announcements. Information entered, uploaded, or posted by the user
may be viewed by Zuild.net personnel for purposes of enforcing the Zuild.net Terms
of Service agreement, for example as needed in order to respond to copyright infringement
claims or claims of inappropriate or offensive content.
Control and Modification of Information
The user may view all user-entered personal information; and modify, or remove most
personal information via the user’s “options” page(s). Furthermore the user has
the ability to control use of his or her e-mail address with respect to communication
from Zuild.net. Users have the ability to set various privacy levels on a per account
and per profile basis, to further aide in controlling privacy.
Security
During the account creation and login processes, your username and password are
sent via standard HTTP protocol, which although is typical for many websites, comes
with some risk of interception. Once logged, an encrypted cookie is used to maintain
your Zuild.net identity for the duration of the login. As a measure to reduce the
risk of cookie duping or modification, the cookie features both hash checks and
expiration dates.
Account information, including user-entered personal information, as well as user
login name and password, are stored in a database managed by Zuild.net and aspwebhosting.com.
Passwords are stored encoded to be unreadable, and not allowed to be viewed by Zuild.net
personnel except with written permission from the user involved. Security of the
overall database is handled by our hosting provider, aspwebhosting.com.
